Brass Mask Shiva Mukhavata

Mukhavata, also known as facial masks, are multiple metal casts of various idols' crowned or turbaned heads, typically those of Shiva and Parvati. Khandoba, Mallanna, Gauri, and their regional variations, who are worshipped under various names, are included in this category.On the mukha-head, vata's ornate turbans were frequently worn, and the finest fabrics, generally in the auspicious colour of deep red, were used to bind them. In certain instances, the masks were draped with clothes and put on a wooden structure.
